Perry County Chorus and Band is an honor group made up of the best singers/players from the four Perry County high schools and middle schools.

The Perry County Chorus Festival is this weekend, January 10th and 11th, 2020. The Perry County High School Chorus will be under the direction of guest conductor Dr. Matthew Fritz from Elizabethtown College. The high school chorus will be performing “Gloria” by Antonio Vivaldi, “Earth Song” by Frank Ticheli, “I Will Keep Still” by Michael John Trotta, “How Can I Keep From Singing?”  by Gwyneth Walker and “Great Getting’ Up Morning” arranged by David Giardiniere. 19 students will represent West Perry High School at this event.

The Middle School County Chorus will be under the direction of  Dr. Elizabeth Lins Shoenfelt from Shippensburg University.  They will be performing “Gratias Agimus Tibi” by Lon Beery, “Come to the Music” by Joseph Martin, “Lightning” by Greg Gilpin, “Hashivenu” arranged by Sally Albrecht and “Throw Open Your Shutters” by Amy Bernon. There are 25 students representing West Perry Middle School.
  
The public concert is at Newport High School on Saturday, January 11th, 2020 at 2:00 PM. Tickets are available at the door and cost $5 for adults and $2 for students and senior citizens. 


The Perry County Band Festival will be January 24th and 25th, 2020. Mr. Robert Hickey from Penn State University will be the guest conductor for the High School Honor Band. The High School Honor Band will be performing “Joy” by Frank Ticheli, “Triumphant Fanfare” by Richard Saucedo, “Hebrides Suite” by Clare Grundman and “Benediction” by John Stevens. 17 students will represent West Perry High School at this event. 

A public concert will be presented at Greenwood High School on Saturday, January 25th at 2:00 PM. Tickets are available at the door and cost $4 for adults and $2 for students and senior citizens.
