Congratulations to West Perry High School English teacher, Lynne Reeder.  She received the top honor of 2021 Perry County Poet Laureate in the Perry County Council of the Arts Poetic Excellence Awards. This is fifth time in six years Mrs. Reeder has been honored.  This is more than any other writer since the Perry County Council of the Arts began the annual Poetic Excellence contest in 1999.

Congratulations to West Perry High School Social Studies teacher, Mark Easterday, for his selection to the Penn College Manufacturing Externship.  This is the sixth time Mr. Easterday has been selected to participate.  Mr. Easterday will spend a week this summer at this National Science Foundation (NSF) funded program studying the skills gap in advanced manufacturing.  He will be learning to use advanced manufacturing equipment such as CNC mills, lathes and 3D printers and use this knowledge to guide students who may be interested in this career path.

Congratulations and many thanks to all West Perry teachers and staff who are representing our school community in various ways even while school is not in session.
